Challenge
Rippling faced increasing difficulties and dissatisfaction with its former technology platform because they couldn’t support a branded solution, lacked technical capabilities, and restricted partner support, data access, and report generation. The previous system also experienced random failures and inconsistencies, requiring Rippling to devote substantial engineering resources to corrections and maintenance.
The previous system's lack of flexibility posed additional challenges, as even minor changes or updates required extensive development efforts and add-on costs for Rippling and at times resulted in unintended downstream errors. This was particularly evident during regulatory changes, when it was incredibly cumbersome to make changes, causing the Rippling team to take on expensive development efforts because of their old vendor’s limitations.

Rippling now has complete control over data management and transfers because of Elevate's comprehensive API integration. Extensive data sets were transferred automatically and securely through APIs, removing human hours as well as the potential for errors. In fact, Rippling was able to control all major processes, from employer setup to card issuance and plan configuration.
Speed of Transition:
Elevate provided immediate availability of HSA contributions and mailed fully branded, chipped payment cards to participants within one-to-three business days of the transition. Elevate’s integration into Rippling's system yielded 15 million API calls a week.
Plan Templates and Automation Features:
